Time to post my August 2023 dividend income!
Got to be honest, August was not exactly my best month on the financial side (although certainly not my worst).
This was an “off” month in the real sense of the term.
Nevertheless, I actually had lot’s a fun this month. I spent much time at the beach and genially enjoying the summer.
I also made a HUGE stock purchase of O this month.
In addition, I am happy to be entering into my best month: September!
August 2023 Dividend Income
But without further ado, for August 2023, I received $803.62 in dividend income from eleven (11) companies.
- T – $167.89
- OHI – $167.50
- PG – $31.04
- O – $68.47
- GIS – $60.18
- ABBV – $59.20
- VZ – $105.05
- GD – $18.48
- NNN – $41.25
- TXN – $35.96
- UPS – $48.60
August 2023 Dividend Income Total: $803.62
It was a good month for dividend income considering this is my “off” month.
An “off” month is when I get paid the least amount of dividends from the fewest number of companies.
Overall, this month shows a 19.1% year over year growth from last August 2022!
Sweet, I love double digit growth!
For some reason, UPS paid out the last day of August rather then in September as normal. This means that an extra payment is in for this month.
Dividend Raises (and Cuts)
And now, without further ado, here are my dividend increases (and cuts) from August 2023!
- ITW increased dividend to $1.40 per share, resulting in a $5.40 increase.
- MPW decreased dividend to $0.15 per share, resulting in a $504.00 decrease.
All in all, dividend increases for August 2023 totaled: $5.40
When you subtracted the increase from the decrease, I am at a loss of $498.60 in dividend income this month.
Ouch. Not my worst cut ever, but ouch!
Dividend cuts are part of the game. Growth is not linear. There are ups and downs.
Conclusion
Thus, we conclude my August 2023 dividend income report!
I am looking forward to a much better September!
As of this post, my portfolio is set to generate $14,092 in dividend income over the next 12 months. Moving right along and strong!
