October 2023 Dividend Income

Time to post my October 2023 dividend income!

Hope you all had a great Halloween!

Sadly, I don’t go trick-or-treating for candy anymore… But that doesn’t mean I didn’t receive any treats.

My treats this month came in the form of dividends!

Other then that, it was a pretty busier than usual month.

In addition, I ended up have some unexpected home repairs. Luckily I have an emergency fund to cover those expenses.

I am actually glad it is over and looking forward to November’s holidays and more beautiful Fall weather!

October 2023 Dividend Income

But without further ado, for October 2023, I received $764.34 in dividend income from fourteen (14) companies!

  • MPW – $135.00
  • STWD – $171.36
  • GSK – $19.24
  • ITW – $21.00
  • CAH – $22.53
  • LEG – $72.22
  • EMN – $33.97
  • GPC – $33.25
  • PPL – $30.00
  • CSCO – $26.13
  • BEN – $36.00
  • MDT – $33.12
  • JPM – $29.40
  • O – $101.12

October 2023 Dividend Income Total: $764.34

This is the first quarter since MPW cut its dividend and this is reflected in this month’s dividend report.

This year shows a 6.8% decrease in year over year growth when compared to October 2022.

Could have been much worse.

At the same time, I know this is all part of the dividend growth journey. There are ups and downs in the short term.

In the long-term, these types of decreases will not mean anything.

The snowball will keep on rolling and keep on growing!

Dividend Raises (and cuts)

And now, without further ado, here are my dividend increases (and cuts) from October 2023!

  • MCD increased dividend to $1.67 per share, resulting in a $42.82 increase.
  • LMT increased dividend to $3.15 per share, resulting in a $8.40 increase.
  • ABBV increased dividend to $1.55 per share, resulting in a $11.20 increase.
  • VFC decreased dividend to $0.09 per share, resulting in a $56.28 decrease.
  • KTB increased dividend to $0.50 per share, resulting in a $0.72 increase.

All in all, dividend increases for October 2023 totaled: $63.14

Overall, when you add the increases and subtract the decrease, I still end up with a net gain of $6.86 in dividends.

It has been a tough year with the decreases, but that is the name of the game.
