Woah, the first month of the new year is over and it is time to post my January 2024 dividend income!
This month went by surprisingly fast.
The whole month was kind of like a blur going by. But it was quiet and tranquil, which is not bad for a cold winter month.
We had our first snow storm earlier this month. It was only a few inches, but I got to try out my new snow boots.
Of course, rain, sleet, snow, or sunshine, the dividends keep coming in!
January 2024 Dividend Income
But without further ado, for January 2024, I received $807.80 in dividend income from 15 stocks!
- MPW – $135.00
- STWD – $171.36
- GSK – $19.96
- ITW – $21.00
- CAH – $22.53
- LEG – $72.22
- EMN – $34.83
- GPC – $33.25
- PPL – $30.00
- CSCO – $26.13
- BEN – $37.20
- MDT – $33.12
- JPM – $29.40
- O – $101.32
- PEP – $40.48

Pretty good start to the new year!
This month’s results show a 7.3% decrease in year over year growth when compared to January 2023.
How did that happen? Well, I took the dividend cut from MPW which is largely responsible for the decrease.
I am not worried however. The snowball never stops building and over time this decrease will be long forgotten.
Now it is time for the dividend increases (and decrease).
Dividend Raises (and Cuts)
And now, without further ado, here are my dividend increases from January 2024!
- WBA decreased dividend to $0.25 per share, resulting in a $78.20 decrease.
- BLK increased dividend to $5.10 per share, resulting in a $2.40 increase.
- ED increased dividend to $0.83per share, resulting in a $6.88 increase.
- UPS increased dividend to $1.63 per share, resulting in a $1.20 increase.
- TROW increased dividend to $1.24 per share, resulting in a $2.48 increase.
All in all, dividend increases for January 2024 totaled: $12.96
Unfortunately, when you compare my dividend raises to my dividend cut, I am starting off the year in the red with negative $65.24 in organic growth.
Of course, there is still plenty of time left in the year to make up for this cut.
Conclusion
Thus, we conclude my January 2024 dividend income report!
As of this post, my portfolio is set to generate $14,612 in dividend income over the next 12 months. Moving right along and strong!
