It is a happy Spring so far and it is time to post my April 2023 dividend income!
It was a pretty darn good April.
I made some new stock purchases earlier this month, adding some nice forward dividend income to my portfolio.
In addition, I received a bonus at work totaling $3,000 (before taxes) and I also bought a new couch.
Overall, the new couch looks and feels great!
Some more good news is that there is another pay raise coming next month at the end of May.
More money earn is more money saved, which means more money invested!
Thus, speeding up the journey to financial freedom!
April 2023 Dividend Income
But without further ado, for April 2023, I received $850.88 in dividend income from fourteen (14) companies!
- MPW – $261.00
- STWD – $171.36
- GSK – $19.15
- ITW – $19.65
- CAH – $22.31
- LEG – $69.08
- EMN – $33.97
- GPC – $33.25
- PPL – $30.00
- CSCO – $26.13
- BEN – $36.00
- MDT – $32.64
- JPM – $28.00
- O – $68.34
April 2023 Dividend Income Total: $850.88
It was a nice month for dividend income indeed.
This month shows a 9.5% year over year increase from April 2022. Not quite double-digits, but I will take it!
It is amazing to see the snowball grow over time. Next up, dividend increases in April!
Dividend Raises
And now, without further ado, here are my dividend increases from April 2023!
- PG increased dividend to $0.9407 per share, resulting in a $3.61 increase.
- SO increased dividend to $0.70 per share, resulting in a $16.24 increase.
- JNJ increased dividend to $1.19 per share, resulting in a $9.84 increase.
- IBM increased dividend to $1.66 per share, resulting in a $3.86 increase.
All in all, dividend increases for April 2023 totaled: $33.55
Better than last month for sure!

I am on the cusp of cross the $14K mark in yearly dividend income.
Moving on forward to the milestone of $15,000 per year!
As of this post, my portfolio is set to generate $13,899 in dividend income over the next 12 months. Moving right along and strong!
