Time to post my August 2022 Dividend Income!
This was a pretty hot summer so far. Heat wave after heat wave. My electric bill is going to be pretty high as I was running the air conditioner quite often.
This was actually a pretty lackluster month in terms of dividend income and dividend increases. Nevertheless, I am happy the dividend stream keeps running.
In other news, I am happy to report I completed one of my 2022 goals I set for myself last year!
I made a silver bullion goal to purchase an additional 30 ounces of silver for the year 2022. That goal was completed this August with a purchase of 22 more ounces!
I now own a total of 45 ounces of silver bullion. And with that, I am done for the year.
August 2022 Dividend Income
But without further ado, for August 2022, I received $674.50 in dividend income from nine (9) companies.
- T – $167.89
- OHI – $167.50
- PG – $30.14
- O – $46.53
- GIS – $55.08
- ABBV – $46.53
- VZ – $103.04
- GD – $17.64
- NNN – $40.15
August 2022 Dividend Income Total: $674.50
Not my best month. In fact, this month shows a -5.4% year over year decrease from last August 2021. How did that happen?
Well, it was the AT&T dividend cut. Something like that just can’t be helped and I will have to bite the bullet on this one until next year at least.
In addition, this is my “off” month. An “off” month is when I get paid the lowest amount of dividends from the fewest number of companies.
Dividend Raises
Unfortunately, it was a dry month for dividend increases too. In fact, I only received one increase this August.
-
- ITW increased dividend to $1.31 per share, resulting in a $5.40 increase.
All in all, dividend increases for August 2022 totaled: $5.40
I take that over no increases at all (or worst of all; decreases). But still, definitely a dry month.
Conclusion
Thus, we conclude my August 2022 Dividend Income.
A lackluster month, but I am happy to received nearly $700 in cash while I sleep. This month (September) is my strong month and I look forward to it.
As of this post, my portfolio is set to generate $13,020 in dividend income over the next 12 months.
So, stay tuned for more as I continue work towards my goals and build my dividend dynasty!
