Happy New Year! 2020 has officially begun and it is time for me to post my December 2019 dividend income. I end 2019 having collected a record amount of dividend income. For entire year of 2019, I received $9,547.85 in dividend income. That is the most I ever received in a single year. All this can be seen on my dividend income page. It has been one heck of a year. In addition, while I didn’t make any new year resolutions, I did set new financial goals for 2020. I am going for the gold this year! But without further ado, for December 2019, I received $1,186.39 in dividend income from sixteen (16) companies!

December 2019 Dividend Income Total: $1,186.39
With that, the year 2019 ends with a record amount of monthly dividend income from a record amount of companies. This month’s results show a 25.18% year over year increase from December 2018. In short, a fantastic way to end the year! Also, I am happy to report that in December I received my first dividend payments from SJM and MMM. Later this month, I will post a review of my yearly dividend numbers and also the results of my 2019 financial goals. But now it is time to look at December’s dividend increases.
First, O increase their dividend to $0.2275 per share. As a result, this raised my forward annual dividend from $512.11 to $513.24 for a $1.13 increase from O. Second, PFE increased their dividend to $0.38 per share. Thus, raising my forward yearly dividend from $247.68 to $261.44 for a $13.76 increase from PFE. After that, T increased their dividend to $0.52 per share. This raised my forward annual dividend from $944.52 to $963.04 for a $18.52 increase from T. Lastly, D announced that they are raising their $0.94 per share. Thereby raising my forward yearly dividend from $201.85 to $206.80 for a $4.95 increase from D.
Altogether, these dividend increases in December totaled $38.36 added to my yearly dividends going forward. My portfolio now stands to generate $9,764 in dividend income over the next 12 months! I am in the home stretch of the $10K milestone with around $6000 saved up to invest. Therefore, I expect to cross the $10K milestone within the next 3 months.
