And just like that, the first month of the year is over. Time to post my January 2023 dividend income!
It was a pretty awesome month to start the new year.
I began the month with new stock purchases which added $189.68 to my projected annual dividend income.
Next, I posted my 2022 goal results and review of the year.
Last year was a fantastic year for me in terms of finances.
The final highlight of the month was that I got a pay raise and promotion at work! This will be a huge boost to my savings and investing!
January has been great so far and it gets even better with dividends!
January 2023 Dividend Income
But without further ado, for January 2023, I received $871.56 in dividend income from fifteen (15) companies!

- O – $66.60
- GSK – $18.75
- ITW – $19.65
- CAH – $22.31
- LEG – $69.08
- EMN – $33.97
- GPC – $31.33
- PPL – $28.13
- CSCO – $25.46

January 2023 Dividend Income Total: $871.56
This was a fantastic start to 2023!
As a matter of fact, this is the most I ever received in dividends to start a new year.
This year shows a 11.9% year over year increase from January 2022! I so love a good double digit YOY growth!
But the party doesn’t end there. Next comes the dividend increases!
Dividend Raises
And now, without further ado, here are my dividend increases from January 2023!
- ED increased dividend to $0.81 per share, resulting in a $6.88 increase.
- CVX increased dividend to $1.51 per share, resulting in a $6.12 increase.
- UPS increased dividend to $1.62 per share, resulting in a $10.00 increase.
All in all, dividend increases for January 2023 totaled: $23.00
Every little bit helps. Step by step and dollar by dollar, these raises help me achieve financial freedom!

Overall, this was an excellent start to the new year!
As of this post, my portfolio is set to generate $13,771 in dividend income over the next 12 months. Moving right along and strong!
