Today is my birthday and time to post my recent buys – TROW, MDT, and BEN! So, I guess, happy birthday to me, lol.
They say time appears to move faster as you age. I think that is pretty accurate.
I have mixed feelings about birthdays. On the one hand, I am closer to financial freedom. On the other hand, I am closer to the grim reaper. Thus, a double-edged sword.
Still, I am grateful for having made it thus far. I know a few people who didn’t live to see this age. I thank my lucky stars I am still alive and in good health.
In addition, as much as it can suck to get older, I realize that I am actually in better shape physically and financially then when I was 25 years old.
So, I will take that and celebrate! 🍰 🎉
Recent Buys – TROW, MDT, and BEN
Now, without further ado, here are my most recent buys!
I added to my position in TROW, purchasing an addition 18 shares. This purchase added $86.40 in yearly dividend income.
In total, I now own 31 shares of TROW which means a grand total of $148.80 in annual dividend income!
Next, I purchased 120 shares of BEN. Thus, BEN became the 52nd stock in my portfolio. This purchase added $139.20 in yearly dividend income!
Finally, I purchased 22 shares of MDT. Therefore, MDT became the 53rd stock in my portfolio. This purchase added $59.84 in yearly dividend income!
All in all, these stock buys added $285.44 in forward dividend income to my portfolio!
Conclusion
Thus, we conclude my birthday and recent buys – TROW, MDT, and BEN.
As of this post, my portfolio is set to generate $12,956 in dividend income over the next 12 months. Wow, I am now in the homestretch of crossing the $13K mark in yearly dividends!
While I am back in the cash accumulation phase over the next 2-3 months, it is likely that dividend increases alone will push me over the $13K mark. This is awesome!
